Bradninch Town – DLWWL

Witheridge III – WWLLW

Witheridge III arrive at Kensham Park having won their last game – a 3-1 league success over Lapford 2nds last Saturday with goals from Daniel Lane (2) and Anthony Vigus. They did pick up a red card with Adam Quick therefore suspended for the game at Bradninch.

In terms of their away form so far this season, they have played six times in both league and cups and won just one of them – that a late September 1-0 win at Willand XI. They were beaten 8-0 at Colyton Reserves in their last away game. The other four away fixtures have seen them lose 3-2 at Morley Rangers in the Devon Cup and 4-0 at Spreyton in a league game. In the remaining two away games they claimed a point each, the results finishing all square; 2-2 at Silverton and 3-3 at Lifton respectively.

Witheridge have scored 15 goals in their nine league and cup games so far. Anthony Vigus and Adam Summers have four goals each while Daniel Lane and Daniel Plumridge both have two goals and there have been single goals so far from William Elsworthy, Lee Cole and Matt Smith.

Witheridge were last at Kensham Park on January 6, 2018 when they were beaten 5-2 by a Ninch team in the middle of a long winning run.

Lawrence Clark scored four of the Ninch goals and Zack Skinner got the other goal. William Hamill scored both the Witheridge goals.

Bradninch will once again be without the talents of Max Cooper who remains on the sick list. Central defender Ryan Shrewsberry is also on the injured list. Another missing is Lawrence Clark, who of course enjoyed such success against this weekends visitors in our previous encounter at the beginning of the year. In terms of being in the squad but ‘doubtful’ John King is nursing a troublesome hamstring. On the plus side Matt Reed returns from injury and Cameron Wright, who has been out through work commitments – his last appearance saw him score two goals in the Devon Cup win over Northam Lions. There has also been a new signing following the completed transfer of Paul Metcalfe from Silverton FC, unfortunately fans will have to wait to see the new man in action though, as he is unavailable this weekend.
